An extract from the artist's field research:

 "I found where I believe is your home,

And for the next period of my life, I lived as you. 

Finding any means to survive.

Our fates entwined when I saw you lying there

My intentions; material.

I wanted you as a scarf, I wanted you as a hat,

A trophy of my salvage,

it was the way I was used to.

 

After spending time with you,

touch of your body,

not being able to look you in the eyes,

becoming normal, becoming a part of me.

Your eyes are amazing,

I wonder what you see every day,

wonder is what brought me to you.

After this time together,

you as my skin,

there became a fusion.

it was then I realised, the self-inflicted metamorphosis,

 within the journey between us.

 

until there was no us,

there was just me."
